Our newest class Pilates+ is aimed at women over 50, with a program specifically designed to improve bone density, balance, strength, and joint mobility. With a combination of mat and equipment work, weights and balance training this class is a really wonderful form of movement that is so beneficial, and important as women age, and move through the menopausal phases into post menopause.
Postnatal Pilates -
Pilates is especially beneficial postpartum. With a focus on safe and correct activation of Pelvic Floor and deep transverse abdominals, strengthening postural muscles and tension relief, our Postnatal classes are a wonderful way for Mums to focus on themselves and care for their bodies after pregnancy, labour and those first weeks or months with Bub.
With over eight years of experience teaching pre and postnatal clients and an program that gently and progressively restores and strengthens your body you know you’re in safe hands.
Bubs come with to these classes, that have a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for Mums 6 weeks plus postpartum.
Prenatal Pilates -
Prenatal clients are welcome in all classes, where you are given a specific prenatal program. Correct activation of Pelvic Floor muscles, postural muscles, glute strength are a focus, and you will be feeling strong and confident throughout your pregnancy, Prenatal clients work a combination of Mat Pilates and Equipment Pilates. Each trimester brings its own set of bodily changes and needs, and these are addressed accordingly. Having your body feeling strong throughout pregnancy and labour will benefit your recovery after birth and aid in the demands placed on your body in caring for a newborn. It’s also a wonderful way to focus on yourself and take some time to care for your body before Bub!
We keep our class sizes small to maximise attention and quality instruction. Our classes are different in the way we educate our clients about their bodies, and work with them to ensure that they understand the how and why behind the movements they are given. The practice of Pilates is lifelong, and our aim is to give clients the tools to live life the way they want too.
